Workshop overview:
This is a two-day Workshop aimed at Gynaecologists with experience in laparoscopic surgery and wishing to develop the skills to perform total laparoscopic hysterectomy.
Day 1: AM Opening and theatre demonstration.
PM Theatre demonstration and lectures
Day 2: AM Theatre training, delegates will be able to observe live procedures and learn theatre set up for TLH. Delegates will be able to scrub and operate as much as possible based on their previous experience.
The aim of the Workshop :
The delegates will be given the opportunity to have hands on exposure depending on their individual skills and case difficulty. Different variations of the technique and tips and tricks will be demonstrated particularly how to deal with surgery in obese women and those with fibroids and previous abdominal surgeries. By the end of the Workshop , delegates will have been introduced to the technique of laparoscopic hysterectomy and should be able to then develop their skills further working towards independent practice.
